The lodge is beautiful, cozy and comfortable. The staff is also helpful. They have all the facilities like swimming pool, tennis courts, games centre, a private reptile park sort of etc. The rooms are distantly located and is amid the forests giving a nice feeling of the area. The food was average though. More

We found the rooms very good. Large size, well furnished and with lots of local ambience. The food spread was really good, though the buffet spreads could have been laid out more attractively. Every evening there was a traditional dance performance by local dancers. The staff at the reception were quite 'grumpy'. Got a shock when asked for a 100 Rand... More

The service was great, the staff was so friendly and helpful. We went as a family of six and our family rooms were next to each other but there was a dividing door that was locked. It was unlocked a few minutes on request. The rooms are nice, We saw a lot of animals during the game drives, the food... More

The game drives were awesome and our guide fantastic. The rooms are neat but could do with an upgrade. Everyone was friendly but small things were amiss. They were often out of coffee and waiters were hard to get hold of. The spa booking system and lack of a receptionist at the spa is very unprofessional. The food was acceptable.... More

We stayed at Mabula Game on the recommendations of 2 of my friends who had previously stayed here. The experience is excellent. The rooms are very nice and the staff is courteous. The rangers who take you for the tours are excellent and very understanding. Its a smaller reserve compared to Kruger but the chances of spotting an animal also... More

We spent the first week of the new year at Sunset Lodge timeshare. We had some great game drives where we saw plenty of game. The fellow passengers on the game drive vehicle contributed to a great time. Although one of the drives was with a new ranger on the reserve, he still managed to make the drive interesting. All... We were invited to stay at Mabula for three nights by a work client. The game park is only about 2 hours drive from Johannesburg and so it is convenient for a weekend away for Johannesburgers. We stayed in the self-catering units, which had four bedrooms and two bathrooms with toilets. The accommodation itself was two star - old unit,... More

We did not stay in one of the Lodge rooms, but stayed in a self catering unit on the reserve (through our vacation club): 2 beds, 2 baths, full kitchen. We absolutely loved this place; The units are situated for privacy, the beds were extremely comfortable, the units and linens were very clean. All staff associated with Mabula were very... More

We had a great week staying there, the checkout time was not communicated and this caused an inconvenience with our booked game drive. my bedroom roof leaked when it rained and there was a visible stain on the lined which the housekeepers should have reported. The security officer on duty when we checked out at the main entrance accepted an... More

The hospitality was just out of this world... friendly and helpful staff all the way. As for the food... it was a pity my stomach could not take more. The evening and morning drives were awesome and our ranger, Carly, was so professional, friendly and informative. Dinner was so eventful with the traditional dance. I will surely come back for...
