Traveling in December in Tuscany is quiet and relaxing. Finding a home away from home is icing on the cake and that's what the Palazzo Leopoldo became. Sylvia greeted us and made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. We found that the amenities offered (wellness center, indoor pool, cooking lessons, etc) provided us with a home base for our Tuscan... More

We visited Radda in December so the town was overall very sleepy. That being said it didn't actually seem like the hotel was meant to be open when we stayed. We received an upgrade to a Jr. Suite because there were only two couple in the entire hotel. I was surprised that our room didn't have a bath tub which... More

We are very sorry that you did not appreciate our upgrade from Superior room to Junior Suite. It was only a way to thank you to have chosen Palazzo Leopoldo for your stay. Regarding the bathtub, we do not have them in all our rooms, as we published in all our communications, but we have an indoor heated pool that... More

I can't praise this beautiful hotel enough. The rooms are huge...the included breakfast is bountiful (and more fun when eaten in the rustic kitchen) and the staff provides excellent service. The village of Radda, where the palazzo is situated, is charming but shuts down early...at least in the winter when I was there. It is centrally located, though, for side trips... More

This is a great place to stay while doing the Chianti wine region in depth. It is gracious and central enough to be a focus of a wine journey. The hilltop village of Radda is at the end of a long and winding road, an hour south of Florence by car. What a lovely ride. At the end, you get... More

Here's a good address in the Chianti. Definitely that old world charm that tourists will love, with most of the comfort and service that you expect from a reasonably pricey place. However, and this is rarer in Chianti, it also tastefully appointed, nearly luxurious, and mostly clean. Service is friendly. Location is spectacular, in one of the most beautiful in... More

This place is a gem situated in a little village with great shops and restaurants. It was the best stop on our 10 day honeymoon. A place where you don't have to look over your shoulder every minute for pickpockets. The hotel is in a old castle; with a great breakfast and indoor pool. The view of the rolling hills... More

We were referred to Hotel Leopoldo when we attending the Outstanding in the Field dinner at La Petraia in September 2011. We knew the dinner would be really special. What a pleasant surprise that our hotel was just as special! Our room was large and had an adorable window that looked out to the Tuscan scenery that we all love.... More

This was our 2nd visit to Radda and our first visit to Palazzo Leopoldo. The first time, we came many years ago and we have been planning to come back for some time now to explore the area more in depth. We really like Radda, there are no modern buildings here and has but a few restaurants and cafes. From... More

We first came here on our honeymoon in December 2008 and we fell in love. We went back again last year. This place is incredible! It originally was a medievil castle and they have turned it into the most delightful hotel. Rooms are beautiful, staff are sensational, the breakfast which is served in the big traditional kitchen is divine and... More

The drive to Radda was beautiful filled with miles and miles of vineyards and olive groves. We arrived in Radda and found it to be a great little (emphasis on little) town. We stayed at the Palazzo Leopoldo and made it our base to drive throughout the area. The hotel is an old medieval-style manor. Our room was huge (it... More
