A few tweaks and this place could be very good indeed.
Loved: the town centre location, easy walk from the station, good parking, friendly staff, comfortable beds, not expensive, quiet rooms overlooking the courtyard, no traffic noise.

We have stayed at the Tap Bar everytime we visit my daughter in Ware. The building is a grade 2 listed as are most of the buildings in the small town. When we stay we always have my grandson with us overnight and always ask for the same room - no longer need to ask as the manageress knows us....
