We spent 4 days in the Caiseal Mara. We were on the over 55s break which was 4DBB for an amazing €140pp. The room was clean and tidy but it was difficult to get a good reception for the english channels which was odd considering how close it is to Derry. The dinner each night was enormus and the steak... More

Great food and wonderful variety on the menu. Lovely spacious room with lovely crisp linen. The staff were friendly and nothing was any bother. Fabulous value for money. We will certainly be back soon. Thanks for everything. More

We stayed here at short notice, and I doubt if we will return. The tv in the room wasn't working, nor were any in the entire hotel. We tried to sleep, but could almost hear the conversations of the people downstairs, not to mention the music. We didn't spend much time in the hotel besides sleeping. Breakfast was fine, but... Just returned from 5 days of pure pleasure.Manager and all the staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. When you go, take another case of clothes a size bigger than you need, I guarantee that after eating at the Caiseal Mara for even a few days you will need a bigger size. I travelled with the Tir... My husband, myself & our 4yrs old daughter stayed here for 2 nights on B&B basis Sat 23rd & Sun 24th April (Easter w/end). We have never stayed in such an awful hotel, either in Ireland or abroad. This hotel is supposed to be 3*, but in reality, it should be minus 3*. The lobby area is quite nice, but... More

My wife and I stayed in the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis on saturday 23rd April. The price was excellent, €59 for the two of us.... the room was an utter disgrace. We wouldn't walk barefoot on the carpet as it was filthy and stained ...the bathroom was even worse. This hotel is an absolute disgrace and the... More

Two couples from N.I. wanted a value for money short break. We chose the golden midweek 4BB4D sun-thurs offer and we were not disappointed. Our rooms were basic, hanging space, but no doors on the wardrobe and only 1 drawer in our room. However spotlessly clean, crisp white sheets and serviced everyday. In any case we wern't paying for 5*... More
