The staff are impeccable and the whole parador immaculately clean. The rooms are large, old style hotel rooms - comfortable. The views from the patio and bar are amazing! The driving up is tricky but not horrendous but if you can choose to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up or get a taxi for 4 minutes.... More

The Spanish Paradores chain are a great idea: historically important buildings turned into luxury tourist accommodation. The Parador in Arcos de la Frontera is perched high on a cliff and offers breath-taking views of the countryside.
