We stopped here on a bicycle trip for a "sundowner." The grounds are beautiful and the view was spectacular. We sat in comfy chairs outside and had drinks while watching the sun go down. We stayed here for a night to celebrate our anniversary. The lodge certainly takes you back to the old era. The room we got was really beautiful and big however the bathroom could have been better. They have a creepy approach to the hotel...but the location/rooms/ambience/service/food/concept was simply awesome...it was a very unique experience...our one night stay was really worth the 50 km drive we made from the airport.
