I have stayed at April Gueshouse twice and have no complaints about either stay. It is located about 2 mins from the seaside, on a nice street with ample parking. On both occasions I have travelled in a large group with others using rooms in B&B's along the same road. The rooms are very clean and beds great after nights... More

I stayed at the guest house for 1 night. The room I had was beautifully decorated. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. The house is along a fairly quiet street and is only 2 minutes walk to the seaside. The owner even waited for me at the metro station to take me to the house, but I missed the station... More

I booked into the April because of a favourable review on this site, and I wasn't disappointed. I was impressed by the attention to detail in my room, the awareness that guests need to be comfortable and a warm welcome from the owners. Have just spent 4 nights at the April Guest House in Roker. We took elderly relatives and were given adjoining rooms. Both rooms were spacious and very clean and pleasant.
