We had so looked forward to our trip to the South of France, but found the surrounding area to be a bit boring and bland. The B&B owners were sadly not very inviting. There seemed to be a very strange atmosphere, and could not help but feel it was personal. I would not want to say that they were racist,... More

We spent three nights at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast and could not have been looked after better. Mike and Kim are excellent hosts and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our stay. Mike even got up at a far too early hour the day of our departure to provide us with breakfast and say... More

Located in the heart of Foix, the hosts are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Whilst Foix itself was a bit so-so, it is a well located base for checking out the surrounding caves, and heading for the hills(big hills) for a casual hike. We enjoyed a light spacious bedroom with ensuite, and, behold! lots of room for luggage( two cases), Breakfast... More

Kim and Mike were great hosts at this charming, comfortable B&B located in a quiet area next to the bustling streets of Foix. Rooms, beds, bath were very comfortable and spotlessly clean as was the kitchen where we were able to make coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. Breakfast was filling with choices of cereals, bread, yummy jams made in the... We loved the charming ,spacious, well-appointed rooms, and it was a delight to sit and in the walled garden underneath the castle walls, where we shared a drink with the other guests. We especially appreciated the provision of a guests kitchen and sitting room, and the collection of local maps and information laid out for our use. Our host even... More

We stayed for 4 nights, just to have a look around the Ariège. Kim and Mike were very responsive and helpful from the very first contact I had with them. Their hospitality was perfect. They even came out into the rain to met us in the garden as we parked in the courtyard, sheltering us from the storm with huge... More

We flew into Barcelona and drove to Chapeliers at the start of a loosely structured trip to Cathar Country. We had no other room reservations beyond two nights at Chapeliers. We were very comfortable at Chapeliers and ended up staying an extra day. Mike and Kim gave excellent recommendations for how to spend our time in the Foix area, for... More

Kim and Mike were welcoming hosts. The well furnished elegant room had french windows onto the secluded garden, a large comfy bed and immaculate bathroom. Facilities for making tea/coffee were available and the breakfast was excellent. The house is a quet oasis in the moidst of bustling Foix with good restaurants nearby. Not the easiest place to find amidst the... More

If location is critical for real estate people, it is also important for a bed and breakfast. Chapeiliers is ideal in this regard. Just a few steps up the street to the Château of Foix, about 25 minutes to the Montsegur Cathar castle or the Niaux cave and right in the middle of the city for café, bistros and restaurants.... For a bed and breakfast stay this was really great and highly recommended from the first moment of welcome by Kim and Mike and their cats. It cannot be faulted - the bedroom was huge with a dressing alcove as well as super bathroom and separate toilet. Breakfast was "real" with jars of jam instead of those awful little metallic... More
