Stayed here on the way through France for one night on the recommendation of friends. They describe it more as a restaurant with rooms - possibly because the rooms can be on the small side and average in decor, etc. Small bathroom with flimsy towels. What Miranda's mother (from TV) and I would call "very French" - you'll know what... More

Stayed here several time now as this hotel is very close to the motorway, near to Orleans & very convenient when heading through France from/to the UK, being about 4 hours from Calais & 6 from the Spanish border. Position is lovely, right on the river bank with rooms ovelooking the river. The food can be excellent but sometimes doesn't... More

Don't expect 5* luxury here, but the accommodation is quite adequate and well described by PUTNEYBIKER. My wife and I have stayed here on many occasions over the years, sometimes for several nights rather than merely as an overnight stay and we have never been disappointed. You must have a room overlooking the slow flowing river, and if the weather... More

You must get a room on the second floor with a river view otherwise you will miss out on lovely view. What you will also need to do is to leave all but essential luggage in vehicle as there is no lift. The rooms are 1985 with flotex carpets tiny shower room and really a tiny bedroom as well. All... I cant think of a better night stop the food was really outstanding and the bottle of Alex Corton Burgundy was well kept and well served the breakfast hit all the right spots the dinner was superb with the Pigeon being particularly good. The rooms are serviceable rather than great but comfortable nevertheless and most have great views over the... More

This was a second visit to the hotel and yet again the food was excellent! The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming. When we went to our room the first thing we noticed was the wonderful view over the river. The rooms although small and a bit bland, were fine and fitted all the necessary requirments. If the... The hotel is a timewarp, but in quite a good way. You can imagine it being the setting for an early seventies French arthouse film examining the mores of the bourgeoisie, with Catherine Deneuve lounging about looking bored... particularly on a Saturday night, when the restaurant seems to be the favoured rendezvous for the great and good of the locality,... We have stayed here a couple of times now. The hotel has a wonderful location on the river Loiret, and one can walk along the banks to the locks and mills and eventually to the confluence with the Loire. Lots of birds and some boating activities on the river - makes a very pleasant relaxing spot. The room we had... More

Our French friend, David M. from Orleans, had made reservations for us at the restaurant but first took us to fill our rental car in an out of the way gas station. This was during the strikes in France in October 2010 when it was very difficult to find gas and we needed to get to Roissy that night as... More

Average canapes, delicious food, excellent service - efficient and friendly. BUT Small rooms with hard uncomfortable beds and lumpy pillows. Grotty shower room with broken shower and cracked tiles. Fabulous view though! Spend some money on the rooms and this hotel would be super. More
