This a a lovely looking place, and very nicely arranged inside. Serving staff were very pleasant. But we waited 50 mins for our meal and when it eventually arrived the food was lukewarm. No apology for the delay. A big disappointment.

Found this wonderful Inn on the internet and so glad we did. From arrival to leaving, the staff were perfect in every way, very helpful, courteous and above all friendly. We were allocated room 11 up a small flight of stairs to a average sized room with a sloping ceiling . I am 6ft 4in and didn`t find this a problem... More

We've eaten here many times over the years and never been disappointed so when my wife saw a special offer for accommodation we thought we'd stay overnight and and have a meal and make a weekend of our house hunting trip. The room - motel style in a converted block behind the inn - was warm, comfortable and extremely clean.... More

After being turned away by the Park Hotel in Diss who were not offering food at 2.50 pm on a Sunday, despite signs to the contrary, the family ended up here, on the recomendation from a guy who worked in an hotel up the A140, which stopped serving food at 2.00pm and what a treat. The food, service and ambience... More

We stayed for one night after a meeting, before heading off to explore the Suffolk coast. Room was excellent (modern, clean, comfy bed, everything worked) and service attentive and friendly. We ate and enjoyed in the bar in the evening: food was good and great value. Breakfast was also very good, with wide selection and freshly cooked. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere pub; spacious, tasteful, accommodations and super, friendly service. Breakfast was a delight! Dinners were also good value although the Thai Curry was below par. Stick to the traditional English fare! Would recommend this pub to all visitors!

We stayed here on 5th/6th January 2013 in order to attend a birthday party. We booked about 6 weeks ahead and were given a very competetive rate - so were not quite sure what we would be getting. Our room was No 8 - disabled accom, although neither of us are. They gave us this room as we specifically wanted... More

We stayed here for a night to attend a friends wedding at Yaxley hall, We stayed in room 11 which was an eaves room with a huge shower room.
