I think this was very good. The food was excellent. Wonderful tropical fruit every morning and the managers were very organised and helpful. They helped us find the best beaches because they were residents. Anyone who doesn't like this place has a problem. More

This was one of our highlights of a trip around Australia. Staying in one of the oldest rain forests in the world is certainly a unique experience. We found the house clean and comfortable, it's up on a hill and provides great views from the large balcony. We stayed with the new managers who had only been there a few... More

We spent 3 wonderful days at the Epiphyte, which is located in the rain forest within Daintree National Park. The grounds were beautiful, the room clean and comfortable and the managers were terrific. In all, it was our favorite accommodation in our 7 week trip to Australia. More

We stayed four nights at this beautiful little B&B in the middle of the Daintree Rainforest, surrounded by lush greenery and all sorts of wildlife. We even saw two wild cassowaries in the backyard! Our hosts, Ernie and Glenda, were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was amazing. The rooms are beautifully decorated, as is the house itself, and... More

We stayed here for a week and loved it. Glenda and Ernie, our hosts, were just wonderful - kind, welcoming and friendly people. The wildlife around Epiphyte was stunning and Glenda and Ernie help out with some wild cassowaries that were struggling to survive after the harsh weather had depleted their natural food supply. Just after we left a wildlife... More

If you're an arachnophobe sleeping here will either kill you or cure you. We stayed at the Golden Orchid cabin. It is probably called Golden Orchid because of the huge Golden Orchid spiders that inhabit the terrace (each the size of a dinner plate). Absolutely filthy inside, although we had clean bedding. Everything was dusty. In the evening we spotted... More

After reading excellent reviews about this place before we left for our holiday we were totally shocked and let down by what we found. We were really looking forward to staying here and driving up the drive and being met by our host we still were really looking forward to it. It was only when we got into the house... More

I stayed twice within a few weeks at Epiphyte, and had a wonderful experience both times! First trip was a romantic get away, and the Golden Orchid retreat was fabulous! Tucked away in the gardens away from the main house, you felt all alone in the rainforest, and we were left to ourselves to enjoy the peace and tranquility. The... More

We stayed at the Epiphyte for 4 nights at the beginning of August 2010 and it was fantastic. We can recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to experience nature in the midst of one of the oldest rainforests in the world. One of the highlights of our stay was the warm hospitality extended by couple who run the B&B... More
