Our first visit - very welcoming hosts - super food by chef Clare with sufficient choices each evening - nothing too much trouble - enjoyed the perpetual supply of home made cake. Lots of repeat visitors amongst the guests which says its own commendation. We enjoyed our well appointed room with view to Derwentwater.

We stayed for 3 nights in Feb/March for dinner bed and breakfast. It really was wonderful. We had stayed in the past but not since Craig and Clare had been the owners. The quality of everything; rooms, food, hospitality was top class. We will certainly recommend the Dalegarth and will return.

Stayed here last November for a four nights and could not have been more impressed by the warm welcome, the friendliness of Clare and Craig. Loved going into the lounge in the evening for a glass of wine. Would definitely go back here again and would recommend without any hesitation.

We had a 3 night stay in December 2012 - our first visit - and have aready booked our next. Accommodation outstanding and cuisine exceptional - Clare's raspberry brioche bread and butter pudding is to die for! Hospitality excellent. We enjoyed one of our most relaxing breaks in the Lakes thanks to Clare and Craig.

A gem of an hotel just a short walk out of Keswick, and almost no traffic traffic. Good food with the owner willing to prepare vegan food of high quality. Excellent dining room and bar lounge for after dinner gossip. Our bedroom had views over Portinscale to Derwentwater and its Crags.
