Excellent value motel, very friendly people. The rooms were lovely and clean. It was great value for money and we would not hesitate to stay there again. We were going to a wedding in wellington and there was four of us. Thanks for looking after us. We had come from Tauranga that day.

A very nice well kept and well run family motel. Rooms are very clean, tidy and functional. Staff are very friendly. Only downside is that as it is immediately off the H1, there is a bit of traffic noise and occassional passing freight trains in the night. Would not hesitate to stay there again

We were travelling with our two little dogs ... moving house from Auckland to Dunedin ... The poor dogs had had to stay in the cage, in the car, the night before so it was a true delight to turn up here and be told there was a fenced area out the back for the dogs to run and let... More

We recently stayed at the Kapiti Gateway Motel as my husband had a course in Kapiti. It was a great place for us to stay: the hosts were fantastic and so friendly and helpful and the rooms were spotless and well presented. It was great value for money and we would not hesitate to stay again. Tracey

Well situated, just off SH1. Friendly, welcoming owners. Our two bedroom unit was clean and comfortable. We had a fully equiped kitchen. (those staying longer than a day or two may appreciate a larger freezer compartment). Good value. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Handy for the shops.

We stayed at the Kapiti Gateway on our way north so this was a quick stop over. The host was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well presented. The kids loved having a trampoline to use having been cramped up in the car most of the day. There was some noise from the road and trains which are... More

We stayed for two nights and took the Kapiti Island trip which the office organised at a discount rate. Communications with the motel office was exceptionally easy and very helpful. When we had to make a change, again no problem. Motel was clean and very tidy however is not new and this is reflected in the modest price. Highly recommended... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean and tidy and the grounds were immaculately kept. We wondered about the road noise but once inside the unit we found this to be no problem. Hosts were very obliging and friendly. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed the spa. We accidently left an article behind and they... More

We stayed here over New Year as we had family in Waikanae so wanted somewhere convenient so we could visit them. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed.
