It's like coming home - another stay in the OLV, but now it is SO much more comfortable with the major improvements. There is now a double bed, wood burning stove and armchairs. The welcome from Lizzy and Dave gets better each visit, and I almost feel part of the family. You only have to scan through the Visitors Book... More

Had a lovely time in The Travelling Post Office (Easter weekend 2011). Wonderful character accomodation in a lovely location. Lizzie & Dave were fab and we couldn't have asked for more welcoming hosts. Can't wait to go back and try out the other carriages :) More

We had a great short break here in the Old Luggage Van, in this lovely spot. We had planned to travel by train, and this worked out really well as it was the time of the fuel panic. Lizzy and Dave were great hosts, and there were lovely touches such as the welcome pack and flowers. OLV really nicely finished... More

We stayed in the travelling post office in May 2011 and had a really enjoyable time which exceeded our expectations. A very unusual and quirky holiday accomodation, something very different which was very well fitted out yet regaining many original fittings. Very nice location and extremely convenient for train travel. We had a lovely welcome pack of local produce which... More

We stayed in the Travelling Post Office in August 2010. When we arrived, the whole carriage was spotlessly clean with tiny posies of flowers in vases in every room. The welcome was completed in the kitchen, where there was tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, juice, beer and even milk and butter in the fridge! I have never stayed in any accommodation... More

Staying at the Travelling Post Office was a fantastic experience for me. This is something that I've always wanted to do and managed to get the opportunity to do it. The surroundings are so peaceful and the owners are so helpful to help you make you feel welcome and make the most of your holiday. More

We stayed in September 2010 for a long weekend (Friday - Monday) with our teenage son. Although small to look at the OLV had everything you could need including a nice area to sit out and watch the trains go by. If you like trains you will adore this as it is only a few feet from the platform. When... More

The Travelling Post Office. We have also stayed in the TPO. It really is good that this piece of history has been saved by Dave & Lizzy Stroud. Right along side the platform at St. Germans Station is a brilliant place for it. Whilst the restoration has made it really nice to stay in, the atmosphere is still there. You... More

What an amazing place to stay. Even though it rained the whole time we were able to enjoy every moment of our time. I had hoped to sit out and watch the trains most of the time, but we still went home thrilled. We WILL return. More
