We booked this hotel for a weekend away in Ireland. The food is top class and the atmosphere was really homely. The banter in the bar after our meals each night was special. The rooms are basic but the beds very comfortable .All in all we had a great time and the bar we wont forget.

We stayed at the Powerscourt arms as we were attending a wedding in the beautiful Powerscourt Estate. The village is really beautiful and the accomodation is right in the centre of it. Our room was coomfy , clean and warm. The staff are really friendly and the food is great. Recommend.

We stayed 3 nights. No hot water any morning (reported it on first day and still waiting) Breakfast on the fri morning was appalling, no juice, no marmalade and poached egg was presented just awful. On the plus side, breakfast on the Sunday morning was very good and the hotel has good firm beds. Won't be returning.

I was appalled by this hotel that I had to let everyone know just how bad it really is. Myself and my husband booked a double room for 1 night only, we were attending an archery event in the village and thought the website pics looked very good. On arrival we were greeted with a dirty looking reception, disgusting looking... More

My wife and I enjoy everything from Karaoke to Opera, and the Powerscourt Arms is definitely Karaoke! The staff are brilliant; the young team are well presented, offer great service and are one of the hotel's greatest assets. The food is excellent; breakfasts are hearty, wholesome and full of flavours. The hotel has a small bistro that opens Thursday to... More

I spent one night with my husband at this beautiful old house on the 27th April 2013. It was so so disappointing. We don't think we every stayed in a hotel that was so cold. The outside temperature was warmer than our room. The room was clean. However, there was a stale smell of cigarettes in the room. There was... More

We had an 80th birthday party in the private function room which is at the back of the Lounge area of this small country hotel. We had a pre-set 3 course meal for 48 guests. The food was delicious and great value for money. The young I would imagine part time staff were extremely attentive and polite and couldnt do... More

Stayed here for one night. There was a function on in the hotel till 1am. Mine and my mum's room was directly above the function hall. Very loud music and talking kept us awake all night. Did not get any sleep. The rooms were dirty and very basic. Would not recommend anyone to stay here.

The only negative with this B&B I that the rooms were uncomfortably cold. The service was great, very friendly and helpful staff but I would not stay there again simply evaluate the rooms were too cold. It really is a pity that such a simple problem can detract from an otherwise quality establishment. If it was rectified then I would... More
