Traveled with a family of four and myself. Sheila was so welcoming with delicious Irish coffees all around. Felt like we were visiting with a relative. Rooms were very cozy and comfortable (bed warmers are a great touch!). Excellent full Irish breakfast. Great location close to the Shannon airport for day #1 in Ireland. Definitely visit Bunratty Castle and folk... More

Once again Frank and Sheila have outdone themselves. My daughter and I stayed for several days in March and as always, Ashgrove House was warm(heated beds), cozy and inviting. The landscaping is beautiful all year round but the daffodils in the yard were in bloom, and it gave us hope that Spring was actually on the way. We sat at... More

We loved the Ashgrove house. Sheila was the perfect hostess with scones ready for us when we arrived. Also Irish Coffee! She knew so much Irish history and so much about Ireland. Be sure and do the Irish Dancing Folk night down the street at the Irish Folk Park. We love Ireland due to so many people like Sheila!

We stayed at this B and B in July with our three children for one night on a trip around Clare. It was like visiting relatives. They were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They even sorted our trip to Bunratty castle the next day. One thing I have to comment on were the very comfy beds. Slept... More

What a great welcome! Sheila and Frank own/run Ashgrove House in Bunratty. We arrived at 0900 from USA, got a BIG hug from Sheila, and she insisted we take a four hour nap (the bed was heated) before we did anything. When we awoke, Sheila had freshly-baked scones and tea for us. WOW! They also drove us into town and... More

What a great property! Sheila and Frank were so generous and helpful! They would offer a ride into town or pick us up from the pub. Homemade scones and fresh food for breakfast, then we were off to explore Ireland. They spoiled us, you can't find a better bed and breakfast! We stayed for 4 nights and wish had a... More

Last month was my first trip overseas ever. Since I was going on a tour, I decided to get there a couple of days early. Sheila and Frank's place was recommended. What a GREAT way to be welcomed into the country. The B&B was lovely..... homey.... and had the best host and hostess. Sheila treated my new friends and I... More

Sheila picked us up from Gallagher's when we arrived and was very helpful. When we got to Ashgrove House, she let us get settled in, then gave us an Irish coffee and asked about our plans. She advised us on how to get around and set us up on a wonderful tour to the Cliffs of Moher. She even drove... More

Shelia was a delightful hostess and her homemade scones and bread were worth the trip to Ireland! Very interesting person - knowledgeable about Irish history. Gave our 3-year-old a toy car that he is still playing with. Highest recommendations.

I've stayed with Sheila and Frank around 6-8 times and they are great every time. They are so kind, friendly and helpful and it really feels like second home to me. I usually stay in the cheapest room, the one that is not ensuite and so I don't know about the "better ones". But for me the thing is the... More
