We were on a short summer break and we were keen to eat without having to trek around the county looking for somewhere appealing. We had parked in the town; we were really quite happy with a snack in one of the local cafes. On the main street however, there was an inn which seemed to be serving food. We... More

The Farnham Arms Hotel, Main St., Cavan is a very old and established hotel. It puts you in the very centre of town directly across from the Town Square and Post Office. To its constant stream of patrons it is simply known as 'The Farnham'. It fronts onto Main St and has two entrances. One leads directly into the Lounge... More

Stayed here purely for the location as it's the only hotel in the centre of town. There was no one at reception when we arrived or when we were leaving (and no way of attracting attention unless you wander off in search of staff) so we had to wait on someone to notice we were standing there!! The rooms are... More

Stayed here recently for one night. By far the most central hotel in the town, being right on the main street, so great location for walking about the town. Hotel has an old world feel to it but the bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom spacious and the full Irish breakfast was one of the better we've had.... More

Had an excellent stay myself and two pals, service was top class friendly staff all round. Was proved with a plate of fresh sandwiches late in the evening free of charge. Breakfast kept us going most of the day. Have been there before and will return again. Was able to park right across the street overnight. What hotels used to... More

The food here was very disapointing, very pricey, I got a tuna wrap which was soaking for some bizarrze reason and chips and the chips werent nice. Very dissatafied I was and the person with me got turkey and ham and was disgusted that she paid 10.95 for such bad quality food. More
