Booked an overnight stay as a Birthday surprise for my daughter. Had lovely room with four poster bed as requested. Food excellent, facilities great, staff very courteous and obliging. Highlight of our stay was a lovely gesture by Luighsighe, the Reception Manager who went beyond the boundaries of customer service. Could not fault the staff nor surroundings - will definitely... This was the last stop on our 9-day trip through Ireland, and a very disappointing way to end it. The hotel itself was large and wanting to be charming but we found it to be dated and worn. The carpeting at the beginning of our hallway was torn, the carpeting in our room was dirty (and hadn't been vacuuming properly),... More

Just spent 2 nights at this property after an unfortunate overnight in Dublin. This is a historic property and the management has stayed true to the era. It was very comfy with a spacious bathroom for a girlfriend getaway. Our beds were very comfy and looked lovely with the padded headboards and bolsters. We ate a yummy filling breakfast every... We stayed here week end May 4th. to 7th. We got the Dart from the city centre to dalkey and got a 6.00 Euro taxi up the hill to the hotel. We had opted for a sea view room, which gave us a balcony and a fairly decent view of the sea. While a agree with some previous reviews that... More

We stayed at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel from 4/19-4/26/12. I booked the hotel room as part of a ridiculously low-priced package that included airfare and a rental car. Our family room was clean and larger than I had expected. While the decor was not modern, I thought it was charming (especially the fixtures in the bathroom). My son loved the... More

We were looking for a hotel close to but not situated in Dublin City. Location was very good, within sight of the sea and nearby picturesque towns of Dalkey and Killiney with DART rail connections to Dublin. Bus transport ("aircoach") directly to and from Dublin airport hourly also very convenient. Service was very good, and friendly, with good food. However... More

Delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. I am sorry we did not have a Seaview room for you . We have refurbished 80% of our bedrooms and are hoping to complete the remaining 20% over the coming months. The train (DART) is the best way travel in and out of the City, avoiding the hassle of... This was where we stayed for our last night of our trip. Check in was seamless and Jessica was extremely pleasant to us! We had a nice room - clean, canopy bed, bidet. We did not eat at the hotel. We had to leave for the airport Monday morning around 7:30 - and there wasn't anything available. The staff is... More

Oh my goodness, what a charmless disaster. Out of pity I did not ask for a refund but we checked out within an hour of arrival. Although this place bills itself as a luxury "castle", it was decidedly not. Thankfully it was our last stop in a ten-day holiday  package that did include genuinely magnificent and  beautiful 5-star castle resorts in... More
