Needs to be dragged up to date, you would almost need a map to get from the car park to reception desk, nice staff for check in and check out, room was so out of date ,no temperature control, old furniture and bathroom, breakfast was below average, the bar woman had a face that would sour your drink ,€5 parking charge, excellant location, nice pool

Our group stayed here at the end of May.The hotel is smack in the middle of Bray and is convenient for everything.Bus stops are across the road and seafront is a pleasant 10 minute stroll away. The hotel itself is dated but has charm. The rooms were cleaned well and the beds were very comfy. Reception staff were friendly and helpful... More

The positives - the hotel has a central location in the centre of the town and is a ten min walk from the dart station and the beach. It had a well maintained leisure centre and parking on site for 5 euro a night. This room was very large and spotlessly clean. The only real negative was the room was... More

I stayed at the Royal way back in June 2006. Back then it was lovely and that's why I decided to stay again. I suspected something had changed based upon the Tripadvisor reviews from other guests. I knew the 5.00 euro charge for parking was coming - it was the same last time - yeah not ideal but whatever. The... More

I and a number of people visited this hotel on Monday past. We visited the hotel on our coach day trip on the way to the Vale of Avoca. We were met by the Manager who provided us with a menu with specials of the day. On a trip like this you have limited time on stop so it was... More

Just returned from this hotel in bray , very disappointed.,having arrived there we didn't recognise it at all going by the description on the brochure, we soon realised the photo was taken from the back of building which looked much better than the front.although the bedding and towels were changed regularly the rest of the room could do with a... Booked two rooms 11th May to 13th May .One room ,329 great view over Bray to the hills, other room 322 looked on to a brick wall and shared an adjoining wall with the lift shaft. Both rooms were sad! and were in urgent need of a complete make-over . Grubby comes to mind. The beds however were clean and... More

I was very disappointed with the Royal hotel as I had heard so many good things about this hotel, however, this was not the case when I went to stay. I had six people with me who were all in my care. The service was awful as they didnt have enough staff on over the weekend. Yes I understand that... More
