hotel in centre of athlone. bar area/restaurant relaxing, however the lift areas and corridors could definately benefit from some new carpet and paint. Bedroom and bathoom a decent size. shopping centre and good little pubs nearby. Great breakfast either 'full Irish' or own choice. Piping hot and served with a smile. Reception staff very helpful with directions to visitor attractions... More

Thank you so much to Padraig and all the staff at this amazing hotel. I went here with a group of friends for my 40th birthday last Saturday nite. We had an amazing meal in the restaurant and drinks in the bar followed by the niteclub. Everyone had a great time and the rooms were big and spotless. Thanks again... More

Stayed here last night and was pleasantly surprised. The Reception area was dated however the receptionist was very pleasant and rang me in my room to check that everything was in order. My room was large with all the usual facilities (tea & coffee, safe, tv etc) however the bathroom which was clean had a fold-able shower screen that was... More

This hotel is right in the heart of the town which might seem problematic but there is a free carpark for guests. They cater for solo travellers which is a joy in Ireland where everything is priced for couples (whats up with that). I have always got a reasonable price here and always at the last minute. The rooms are... More

We stayed here early May 2012. It was a great location right in the centre of Athlone. I booked via their website. once booked the reservations staff telephone me to confirm whether we wanted 2 twin beds or a double bed. Rooms were comfortable and clean, the power shower was awesome. Breakfast delicious, enjoyed the pancakes, staff very friendly and... More

A group of 30 of us from the Bunclody/Kilmyshall Drama Group descended on the hotel for a night's stay. Right from the start we could not have been made more welcome. The receptionist greeted us with smiles and efficiency. The rooms were bright and clean and breakfast was great. When we wanted to party into the night, the bartender was... More

From start to finish the experience we had with the hotel was brilliant. They couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were lovely and clean, staff very friendly and professional and couldn't do enough for us. We were a small group of 10 but everyone was very happy with their stay. Even when we had a late cancellation they were... More

A business hotel in the centre of town. Room were big and very comfortable. Quiet location. The lift was broken but we had a very charming apology left on our bed, a nice touch. Excellent breakfast. Why did football have to be in every corner of the bar? Surely one corner can be kept for intelligent people? More

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your recent review. We were delighted to see you enjoyed your stay and again apologies regarding the life being out of order. It is a good point in relation to the football on all the televisions. We do have an upstairs bar without any televisions so I should include that in our guest directory. Looking... More

We stayed there last weekend for just one night, but I was sorry that I could not have stayed there a little longer. From the moment we entered the building we were made feel welcome. Stayed here just this weekend (5th May) for a 1st Wedding Anniversary. Sorry to say it wasn't an experience reflected by others who have had a good time here. I would like to note that the Reception staff are friendly, but unfortunately this warmth was not repeated throughout the hotel. The room was very poky, not four star standard. When... More
