We really enjoyed our all too short stay in the King Sitric. Where else can you laze in your bed on a Sunday morning while listening to the gulls and looking out over the Irish sea.The welcome was friendly and informative, the room was slightly dated but spotlessly clean and comfortable. We dined there on Sat evening.Had a beautiful meal,... More

They are located at the end of the main stretch. We had an excellent combination platter for two that was outstanding. We had a window seat. We did not stay in the hotel, we just ate at the restaurant. I would definitely recommend.

stayed in king sitric over the weekend. rooms clean but not comfortable. bed - 2 single beds pushed together - had no matress topper hence uncofortable. the beds were hard and had a blanket instead of comfy duvet. View of sea was lovely but tiny windows. one of the windows was damaged and hence you couldent see through it properly.... More

I was booked in for a business trip and was pleasently surprised to find a good standard of accomodation in this fishing town at the King Sitric. It has a wide reaching reputation for excellent fish food and the accomodation is also to a good standard. Joan the hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were very clean the bathroom... We chose this hotel for an impromptu night's stay after perusing Ireland's Blue Book. We have found it in the past to be a useful way to select a slightly more 'special' type of accommodation or dining experience. We (my fiancé, our 9 year old daughter and myself) requested the Penthouse room - as it was described as being spacious... More

King Sitric was brought to our attention by an Anthony Bourdain feature from a few years ago on his "No Reservations" show. SO GLAD WE WATCHED IT!!! We were greeted by Louie in the East Bar on arrival who showed us to our room as Joan, Aidan's wife, had stepped out for a moment. By the time we came down... More

This place is small but has fantastic food and friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit. Sea food chowder was great and seafood platters are fantastic. We had to wait to get seated because it was so packed but definitely worth the wait. Allow plenty of time to get into Howth from Dublin, can be a slow process.

Joan and Aidan's warm welcome and continued customer service was bar none! I stayed with a group from the states and they made us feel as if we were visiting our favorite aunt and uncle. From day one they remembered each of our names and details about what we liked for breakfast. The rooms are cozy and clean and the... More

We keep coming back, for the great food and the warm hospitality. This January we held a conference at the King Sitric and all the participants loved the place. One of the owners, Joan MacManus, even read a love poem in Irish for our group so they could hear the language. On their evaluation forms, they could rate the place... More

The restaurant has very good menu with good selection of wines. my favourite is their lobster, the best in howth. This one of the restaurant where you have to leave a space for desert! This is perfect place for romantic dinner. The restaurant has only few tables & you don't have impression that the guests at next table are seating... More
