A beautiful old house (circa 1800's), next to an old mill, river running behind and Jerpoint Abbey right across the road....very beautiful, full of antiques, comfortable and charming. Lovely breakfasts cooked by Helen, with thought and supplies for feeding my son with Coeliac. I just wish our stay was longer, 2 nights not enough. More

The Abbey House is a wonderful, old home directly across the street from the fabulous 12th Century Jerpoint Abbey. Everything about the B & B was very good. The owner of the Inn recommended (and made needed reservations for us) the Bistro Sol in Thomastown. It was probably the best food we had in our three week visit to Ireland. More

Such a change from the ubiquitous Irish bungalow. Here is a gracious historic house, once part of the Abbey, in which the tradition of monastic hospitality is kept alive. Spacious, comfortable and with breakfasts to die for. Lots to see and do in the area. It couldn't be better. More
