Knockeven House is a truly grand setting, makes you feel like someone special from a prior century. Pam went out of her way to cater to my elderly mother's dietary needs, including making a special purchase of gluten free tea cakes so Mum could enjoy a sweet nibble with her tea in the drawing room with the rest of the... This is our 1st trip to Ireland and we love to stay in Bed and Breakfasts wherever we go...this is one of the great ones! Pam is wonderful, welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious with beautiful decor and high ceilings. The house and grounds are well taken care of and lovely. Wish we could have stayed longer! Oh and... More

During our honeymoon, this was the first place we stayed that wasn't a hotel or large inn. We absolutely loved the feel and the charm. Pam was wonderful and she was such an excellent hostess. The food was superb (by far the best scones we had the whole trip) and the rooms were beautiful and very comfortable! Both Pam and... More

I had the pleasure of staying with Pam at Knockeven House recently. The house is a credit to the owners. Comfort and character in abundance. Fellow travellers were very pleased with their choice also. Knockeven House is at the very top scale of what one might expect from a B&B and I have stayed in many. I am only sad... More

We found Knockeven House on Trip Adviser and booked 2 nights in September. The experience was beyond our expectations. Pam picked us up at the train station and brought us to her lovely and elegant home tucked away from the business of Cobh. Her attention was so very helpful with suggestions of local things to do. We had a wonderful... More

Pam greeted us with tea and scones as well as great conversation. We felt like royalty during our 3 day stay. Breakfasts were exceptionally hearty and tasty. We would love to return to Ireland and once again stay at Knockeven House.

The knock heaven bed and breakfast was simply a great place to stay. Pam and John the owner of the house that was built around the 1800´s were incredible very warm and welcoming. We only stayed for three nights but we had such a great time in their bed and breakfast and the location of Cobh I wished we stayed... More

We only stayed one night and were the only guests, so Pam let us pick our room. The Knockeven house is a beautiful place and was very warm and welcoming. We were immediately greeted by Pam and she offered us tea/coffee and scones (best scones we ever ate!). The rooms were well decorated, clean, neat, shower/bathroom was up to date... More

Pam's B&B looks like a palace. With her warm hospitality you feel like at home. A unique experience was the excellent dinner that she cooked on Sunday evening. Food was excellent, and price was very reasonable. Pam was very helpful guiding us were to visit, and where are the best places to eat outside.

We have been in a lot of beautiful hotels around the world over the years, but this place is up with the very best of them. Pamela and John were just the best hosts, tea and scones to start our stay and even a large glass of wine and lovely chat to end the night... It's an old 1800's house... More
