Last Friday, June 9th, my wife, daughter and I stopped at the Olde Glenbeigh Hotel at 5;45 approx. We sat down for our meal at 6 o clock. Both my wife and I ordered Sirloin Steak, what came out was 2 steak sandwiches, which we both eat, afterwards when we commentated to a man in a shirt and tie, a... More

dear kerryman65 i am sorry for your recent experience here with at The Olde Glenbeigh Hotel. However I have a few issues with your review. You did in fact order sirloin steaks but received steak sandwiches. I noticed this when i brought your side orders. I immediately offered to change them but you both said they looked great and you... Alas, I stayed at Ocean Kerry Lodge, a spartan place up the road from the Olde Glenbeigh Hotel, so I can't comment on the rooms. However, I had two dinners at the hotel, and both were excellent. Light, crisp batter for the fish (and chips). In fact, the best fish and chips in twelve days of travel in Ireland. My... More

Had dinner here when we were staying in the village recently. Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly service & good food. We chose from their "bosca" or set menus. It was unusual in that all 3 courses were served at the same time but it came out beautifully presented & it was fantastic because you could eat at your own pace &... More

Stopped off here for lunch and had a very fulfilling lunch. Owner served us and all very professional. Food was good quality and we were all satisfied and no concerns here. The price was very realistic and would visit again. Nice to have sat outside and makes a change to eat somewhere and leave satisfied. We did not stay in... More

This property served as our home for two nights. And by the time we left, we felt like family. Operated by Mary and her son, Killian, we were provided a room that felt like a guest room in a relative's home. The pub offers up good food and drink served by Mike and Mikey (don't ask me which is which)... More

An old and historic building, I like how they kept that feeling by the antique furnishing. If you expect a modern and generic hotel, do not stay here. However, if you are looking for a place that has some personality with truly nice people, you should experience this. With all the little extras everywhere like books and decorations, everything was... More

I really don't know where to start on this one guys, if one was looking for a welcome that encommpasses all the genuine warmth and caracter that South Kerry has to offer, i reckon The Olde Glenbeigh Hotel would be where one should start, From the rustic, but very comfortable bar/lounge offering a really tasty menu, which on ordering emerged... when you arrive, you receive a good old friendly irish welcome. the staff go out of there way to make you feel at home. in my opinion the mark of a hotel is when you arrive late for breakfast. most if not all hotels would turn you away. but not the olde glenbeigh. so you and your partner can relax...
