Great stay at the guesthouse. Very comfortable and spacious. Owners friendly and very helpful, gave great suggestions on both dinner and next days activities, one of our favorite stays in Ireland thanks to these suggestions. Couldn't have been more helpful and breakfast deliciouse. It was my friends first time staying in a B&B/Guesthouse, and now they're sold on them.

My nephew and I stayed in Clifden. The Buttermilk Lodge is a great location. It is an easy walk to town (downhill). We had only one night here and would have loved to spend more time. On our many travels we appreciate extra attention to detail and care and Buttermilk Guest House is tops. We have found many B & Bs giving only basics and some less than that. I think all should at least have tissues, face washers and lovely towels,... More
