Our gracious, kind and knowledgeable host Jimmie, made our stay in the lovely historical village of Kinsale - simply - the best. Jimmie's suggestions for traditional music, dining, tours, transportation, and road trips, were all spot on. Our room was spotless, quiet, comfortable, and the en suite bathroom more than adequate. And the breakfast...well, it doesn't get any finer than... More

Truly enjoyed our stay at the San Antonio B&B. Jimmie is a wonderful host- I'm so glad we took his suggestions for dining out and spots to hear a good trad session. The San Antonio is in a great location- walkable for anywhere you need to go in Kinsale. My husband says the full Irish breakfast was one of the... More

A perfect location in a beautiful, cute Irish town. Jimmy is the best host and met us with smiles and information and great breakfasts. The inn is lovingly cared for, our room was large, the included wifi is important. Would love to visit again!!!

First of all, Kinsale, is breath taking! It is the place where my husband and I WANT to buy a holiday home now...when? I do not know. But I do know it will be somewhere close to Jimmie so we can hang out, talk, listen to music, and eat :) His place is beautiful! Filled with intense antiques and stately... More

We landed in Dublin at 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday and after several stops made it to Kinsale about 5:00. After a very frustrating half hour of searching, we finally stumbled into the San Antonio. Jimmie was out, but we were allowed in and were shown to our room, third floor with a good view toward the harbor. After an... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the host, Jimmie. He is a cork man for sure, friendly and with a quick wit about him. He made us feel welcome the instant we entered his historic property and even let us store some lunch meats in his fridge for the stay! The house is beautiful... More

My husband had a medical emergency shortly after we arrived in Kinsale. We couldn't have coped with this without Jimmie and Noreen's support and assistance--making phone calls, providing snacks for the road, and arranging a taxi for a sudden trip to the hospital in Cork. Although we didn't have a chance to see much of Kinsale, we hope to return... More

Everything about the San Antonio was perfect! Jimmie is incredibly welcoming and he provides great information about Kinsale's restaurants, pubs and even where to find live music. His recommendations were spot on! The rooms are funky but very cozy and comfortable, but my husband and I prefer to choose affordable stays so that we can experience more in the area... More

Rang up Jimmy from the road & booked the room on Friday evening. We lucked out because it was jazz weekend & pretty much everything else we were considering was booked. Got there in the evening & Jimmy was there to greet us. Very nice rooms & fantastic breakfasts. He recommended Zuul's for dinner one night & we weren't disappointed.

I stayed for the weekend during the Gourmet Festival this month. Jimmy is the best host I've ever come across, he is so attentive to the needs of his guests...and how he remembers everybody is beyond me. I stayed in 2008 and 2009 and each time there was a group of us and he knew who was who, which really... More
