We stayed in this hotel a couple of weeks ago, and were really impressed from the minute we arrived, Ivor the manager was great, very attentive, very informative with great local knowledge. The hotel itself is in a great location town centre and only 5 minutes drive to the beach and other attractions. The breakfast was superb, cooked to order, and... More

My daughter and I stayed in the Clonakilty Hotel at the weekend which is very central and on the main street with parking at the rear and plenty of on-street parking available too. The hotel is quite basic but clean and comfortable - all you need for the night. Ivor gave us a great welcome and was very pleasant -... More

Just had a lovely weekend in The Clonakilty hotel. Arrived late on Friday. Lovely guy checked us in. He knew everything required to plan our weekend and booked a lovely restaurant for us right next door. Great breakfast on the following morning. I am a coeliac and that was no problem. It is nice to have black pudding in the... More

We had just spent ten days driving through southern Ireland and the room we stayed in at this hotel was the most comfortable. The weather was very chilly but the room was warm, quiet and very spacious. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, I think! The breakfast was wonderful (you must have the Clonakilty black... More

Myself and my wife spent 2 very enjoyable nights here in May. This is a no frills hotel but everything was very nice and we could not have expected any more for the price we paid. Room was very good and breakfast was excellent. But what made our stay so enjoyable was Ivor the hotel manager. His customer service skills were... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights , 9th and 10th Dec this year. No Christmas decorations (except some lights thrown on a pot plant). When we checked in the receptionist was wearing her coat to try and keep warm. The hotel room was clean, but again no heating on. We were told by reception that heating was on... More

We stayed here in July 2011. The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of Clonakilty (which is a much quieter town than I expected, but still lovely.) The Clonakilty hotel has lovely, old-world decor which I loved, a lot of hotels I've stayed in lately seem very generic and blend into each other, whereas this one... More

We are an over sixties couple and found this hotel on line. The staff were very helpful and mannerly and even gave us advice on what to see around clonakilty, we could not say a bad word about them. The hotel was very clean and the room was superb. The breakfast was very good. We would have no hesitation in... More
