We spent a week at the Sea Crest Cottage at Tara Farm in late May. The cottage was clean and comfortable and the views out across the fields to the waters of the Kenmare River and hills of the Beara Peninsula beyond are stunning. Ann and Sean, our hosts, were very helpful in getting us settled in and even provided... More

My room was adequate- tea, coffee, hairdryer, newly refurbished large shower. In room television could only get two channels clearly. One day I had to ask to have radiator turned on - quite cold. Breakfast- usual cold food, cereal etc and then you ordered from a menu. Nice view of the river from the breakfast room. What was strange was... More

We wanted to thank you for a very nice stay at your place on our recent trip to Ireland. Everything was above our expectations and we felt very welcome there, just should have stayed much longer. The food was wonderful, lasted till supper. Thank you - Jim & Jill

We enjoyed our stay here, the hostess was very friendly, the room furnished with antiques, and had smoked salmon on the menu for breakfast. The hostess is very busy as she cares for her elderly mother, which we could relate to, as we have also done the same. Our room had a lovely view; we would stay here again.

We used Tara Farm as a base for our expeditions into the heartland of this beatiful area. We chose this Guesthouse on the basis of location and although we had viewed some negative comments about the farm we still decided to stay. Our room was perfectly adequate and quiet with wonderfull views across the river. Although the room was ok... More

Tara farm was very easy to find and in a quiet setting over looking a beautiful view. Our room as very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious and Ann even cooked me pancakes the second morning even though they weren't on the menu that day. Friendly host and would recommend .

We stayed in the Tubrid cottage self catering and what a beautiful house this was. It was a converted farm workers Cottage and very spacious full of character with en-suite rooms and all the amenities needed for a comfortable family stay. The views were stunning and it is located only a short distance from Kenmare itself (5 mins by car)... More

We just concluded a stay at Tara Farm and the accommodation was mediocre at best. There were no toiletries in the bathrooms, wifi only worked in the common area, and light bulbs were out. The rooms were clean and those that ate breakfast were happy with the meal. It was told to our family that the B&B was a short... More

My wife and I and another couple stayed at Tara Farm in July 2012. Our room was the ground floor room with a lovely view of the surrounding countryside, including lots of cows, and was very nice. Ann served a lovely breakfast cooked to order each morning and had suggestions for day trips, restaurants and shops. The Farm is about... More
