Miffy has a wonderful arrangement for guests with a wing of bedrooms, a spacious eating area, a recreation room with a ping pong table, and a cozy sitting rom which had a fire in the hearth each evening. Just outside the window you can see the family sheep and a guinea hen. A short walk will take you to the... More

Hazelwood B&B has a perfect setting. From most windows one can view Kenmare Bay and from some, the mountains. When we were there in late April, the mountain peaks were still snow covered. A sheep grazed in the grass surrounding the property. A short walk down a winding path led to a secluded beach. Inside, the house is warm and... More

I have stayed at Hazelwood a few times and returned again this year. The living room area has been refurbished and we spent a nice evening infront of the log fire. The breakfast is still amazing and plentiful, especially the freshly baked muffins. This is such a peaceful spot to stay, and it is a short walk down to Kenmare... More

Best of all the places we stayed in ireland. Yummy breakfasts with fresh chicken eggs and a view of the sea. Clean and comfortable en-suite rooms and a friendly, helpfull hostess. We had a lovely stay and will be back again and again! More

Spent a long weekend with my other half and I enjoyed it thorougly. The property is hidden from the road which gives you a sense of isolation from the cars. It has amazing views over the bay from the breakfast room and bedrooms. Breakfast was plentiful, freshly cooked Irish breakfasts (mmm...those home made muffins) or cereals and toast. The family... I stayed at Hazelwood a few times over the past few years and have always enjoyed my stay. The breakfast is great, with a full Irish breakfast and freshly baked muffins. You can arrange pony and horse riding at the nearby stable and go on a trail down to the sea where you can admire the view whilst your horse... More

My grandparents retired to this part of Ireland so I spent a lot of time in the area as a child and wanted to share it with my girlfriend. A family friend recommended Hazelwood so we booked up for the May Bank Holiday weekend. We were greeted at the door by a friendly dog and a couple of chickens which... More

Kenmare is a great town in a lovely part of County Kerry. There are probably some lovely accommodation options in the area. I would not put this at the top of my list, despite the fact it gets a very good recommendation from lonely planet. While the location of this property has the potential to be lovely and it is... What a shame that you were so disappointed in your stay at Hazelwood. We take our guests views very seriously so have recently redecorated and just ordered a new (Very comfy!) suite for the lounge. However,Im glad you enjoyed the view and found our home clean and the home-cooked breakfast good. Any suggestions on improving our service are always welcome. More
