Castle Cliffe has every you need for a break in the Peak District - comfortable bed, great bathroom, fluffy towels, yummy breakfast and fantastic views. There are lots of places to walk just on the door step and good places to eat close by.

I rang to book a short break and spoke to Jackie. Everything was sorted out and we were offered room 3. We arrived early as agreed and were met with tea and coffee and cakes in the lounge which was a nice touch. Room 3 was lovely. A really nice bright large room looking over Monsal Head and the Headstone... More

Great place - these guys really do the English notion of B&B proud. Fantastic location with walks straight from the door and bike hire just down the road (by car) with rides available to suit all tastes. We did the Monstral Trail which was a nice easy ride along old train tracks into Bakewell which was superb - relaxing and... More

We stayed for 2 nights as we had a function to attend at nearby Thornbridge Hall. It's a charming B & B, lovely hosts Jackie & Neil and altogether a very comfortable place to stay. The breakfasts were beautifully cooked by Neil and Jackie gave us lots of information for the surrounding area. There is a little local bus that... More

Just returned from a weekend break. Cannot fault the B&B. We had a very friendly welcome with tea & cake before setting off on our walk. Lots of local information & walks leaflets/maps available. So many walks from the front door. Breakfast was lovely & freshly made. Our room was spotless, lots of lovely touches which made us feel so... More

Thank you Jackie and Neil for a wonderful weekend. Our stay was most enjoyable, made better by the welcoming tea and cake, an excellent room and wonderful views! You were helpful and accomodating hosts,as well as great cooks. The bed and breakfast is ideally located opposite a great pub and next to the descent on to the Monsal Trail. With... More

Jackie met us on arrival, and made us so welcome. Our bedroom was beautiful, and so nicely decorated, with a sumptuous bathroom, lots of lovely smellies, and immaculately clean! Off we went to the local pub, with a head torch lent by Jackie, and armed with her suggestion of walks for the next day.She thinks of everything to make her... More

On arrival Jackie and Neil greeted us with tea and home made Chocolate Brownies, which we devoured in front of a log fire in the comfortable guest lounge. The bedrooms are clean and well equipped. The Castle Cliffe is ideally situated for walking in Mosal Dale and the Monsal Trail. There are two pubs well within walking distance in the... More

A great location sent in indeallic setting. The room was beautiful, cosy and comfy and the breakfast was hearty setting us up for the day. A couple of pubs near by, I'd reccommend the Packhorse in Little Longstone, a 10 minute stroll if that down the bank. Well run and friendly hosts in Neil JKackie, nothing was too much trouble... Stayed for 5 nights, arrived on Sunday and was greeted with tea and cake by Neil and Jackie, which we eat in the beautiful garden. We took our bikes and these were stored in a shed out the back. We stayed in room 2 which was a great room with large en-suite bathroom. The breakfasts were great with plenty of... More
