Good bed and breakfast but not any different from many we have been to despite its Gold Award, room upstairs a good size, clean, bathroom with a good sized shower. Breakfast fine but again have had the same and occasionally better at lower graded b and bs . Hostess very friendly and helpful, dogs a couple of treats and horses... More

What a beautiful place to wake up in! There is nothing like the English countryside. The property is gorgeous with nice ponds, a friendly dog, and the sound of horses in their stables. The owner is a sweet lady, and cooked up a really yummy breakfast. I wasn't in love with the room, as the bathroom had kind a funky permeating... More

Hello there, thank you so much for your review. I am so pleased that you appreciated the food, location and pond. The sun is shining today and the wild ducks are abundant and the lawns are being mown, I do believe Spring is here.... We have finally identified the faint odour in the bathroom as being a dripping under cupboard... More

Our stay at Great Ashley Farm was perfect from start to finish! The property is conveniently located close to many places that we wanted to visit - Castle Combe, Bradford on Avon, Bath.. The area is absolutely stunning, with no shortage of things to do. Helen greeted us on arrival and was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. She... More

I can only assume the owner cares more about awards than the guests. The place is clean until you start moving things and see how grubby it is. The pillows on the beds are not very comfy but that maybe me as I am fussy with pillows. The welcome you get is a please don't bother the owner as she... More

Thank you for your review - I am a little perturbed since having been away for the early part of September we only had a scattering of guests none of which were named ElvistcbPresley from York. We did however have some guests (who I will not name) from York who stayed in my holiday cottage during August - this would... More

We needed to stay close by Cumberwell Park for a wedding reception, and this is about the closest! But it'd be lovely for anyone visiting Bath, Bradford on Avon, Lacock, Castle Combe, Dyrham... It's a real farmhouse with tractors, horses, ducks on the pond; welcoming, comfortable, well appointed (clean and modern) and ... the food's great! Useful independent entrances for... More

A wonderful bed and breakfast, Helen was a great host and prepared a really great breakfast for us. We stayed in the double room on the ground floor for two nights in August - the room was immaculate, huge and very comfortable. A genuinely useful collection of menus from local pubs and restaurants - The Castle on the edge of... More

My husband, myself and our mothers were travelling from Australia for a 1 month tour around England and I had booked all the B&B's prior to our arrival in England, based on tripadvisor reviews owner websites and other B&B site recommendations like Sawdays. Great Ashley Farm is off of the beaten path and the location was beautiful. Green fields, old stone walls, a tiny pond and rowboat, a beautiful garden: it was everything we wanted in a country B&B. Another highlight was the full English breakfast Helen prepared. From the local produce and sausage to the delicious coffee, it was hands-down the best... More

We stayed in the cottage (same owners of the B&B). It is just a few meters away from the actual B&B. The cottage is very comfortable and very well equipped - had all that we needed and more. Our children (4yrs and 9 months) were very comfy. We had highchair and travel cot there too. Kitchen had all the equipment... More

On our arrival we were greeted by Helen the proprietor for our 3 night stay. Our room was lovely, extremely clean, tastefully decorated and with a very comfortable bed.
