Have not been to The Dove before (it's a bit off the beaten track) but it is obvious that it has recently had a make over and to a very high standard. A group of nine friends lunched there today and had a most enjoyable time. A good selection of starters and mains plus a specials board with mainly fish... More

We needed somewhere to stay in the Corton area for a few days over Christmas whilst visiting family who lived locally. Our double room at the Dove was very comfortable, well appointed and with a very welcoming staff. Also very good value. The good food served in the restaurant was a bonus! We had stayed at the Dove some years... More

Had a meal there again today. Fish dishes (for which they have a reputation, justifiably deserved) were great, but the venison was flabby, chewy and more or less devoid of taste. Such a shame. It was busy today, and they were obviously VERY short staffed - service was OK but at this level (and price) overworked staff is an obvious... More

The pub has gone through a big make over and it looks so much better. The interior is well decorated and the wc facilities are amazing!!! It does make a diference. There was a big crowd around the bar area when we walked in but we felt welcome when we were approached by the staff. Had a drink on the... More

We were taken to an impromptu Saturday lunch at the Dove by my mother-in-law, on a happy family occasion. We have eaten here many times over the years when the pub has been under various different regimes and so never quite know what to expect; however, we were interested to see what the present owners were doing with it. Unfortunately,... More

My husband saw an advert for this pub in a local magazine and we decided to give it a try. We were among the first to arrive for the lunchtime service, although by 1pm the conservatory dining area was quite full. The welcome was not particularly friendly, which was disconcerting since it was our first visit. However, the service did... More

This is an attractive village pub, which is conveniently situated on The Wiltshire Cycle Way. I've lost track of the number of times this poor pub has been "refurbished", over the past 35 years it has changed beyond belief. But now…. It's grand, the present owner has given it the lot. Fantastic food, great beer, lovely outdoor seating area and... More

The Dove at Corton. Where to start? Amazing surprise. We booked for our Christmas meal with our friends and we were amazed with the quality of the place. The waiter was very good and so was the waitress. Our starter, the king prawn tempura, was out of this world! Mains, the Lamb Shank with the grilled polenta was falling off... More

I have never before bothered to write a review but on this occasion I absolutely have to rave about this fantastic find! It had been recommended but unfortunately we took our time to get to this pub. I wish we'd been before as we've definitely been missing out on a real treasure. My partner and I went here tonight as... More

Me and my wife came in for dinner at the dove and was very impressed, the waitress was very friendly and was very knowledgable I ordered the scallops which were cooked perfectly and my wife had the soup which she said was the best she had ever tasted. For our mains I had a sirloin which was cooked perfectly and... More
