A warm welcome with tea and traditional welsh cake, Victorian style house, decorated as such, spacious top floor bedroom with ensuite. Tea, coffee & tv in the room. A 10 minute walk from crickhowell town centre where there is plenty of choice for delicious food & coffee/ cakes. Plenty of walking routes from here. Very attentive hosts. Breakfast was extensive... I liked the location which is a 5 minute stroll from Crick. The house is very suited for a B&B, with a spacious hall etc. The lounge is a great extra feature not found in many B&Bs. My single room was 'compact' but this was was reflected in the price. I had the Welsh breakfast option which was excellent. Everything... More

We were looking for a nice get away and found the Park Place Guesthouse in Llangattock a very good choice. We had the family room on the top floor; my single bed was comfy and I slept very well. My friend had the double bed and slept well, too, although the mattress was a bit squeaky. Everything was very clean... More

We were greeted by our host Maxine after a day of hiking in the Black Mountains. My partner, my friend and I were given the family suite on the top floor which suited us perfectly. When we arrived we were helped with our bags and given tea and Welsh cakes which made us feel right at home, Maxine's daughter then... More

My daughter and I stayed here on a walking weekend - on arrival we were given a drink and cakes in the guest lounge before going to our room. The cottage has been beautifully restored and tastefully decorated. The owner was very attentive, gave advice about the local area and chatted generally. The breakfast was delightful and very well cooked.... More

Stayed for two nights as base for going to the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff for a Wales-Argentina rugby international. If you're looking for ultra-modern accommodation this is not for you. But if you want a comfortable place to stay and an excellent breakfast that will keep you going through lunch, read on. Park Place is a Victorian house and is... More

On our arrival Maxine greeted us warmly with a lovely cup of tea and welsh cakes whilst we sat relaxing in the lounge. The atmosphere as soon as we arrived was so welcoming and warm. My husband and I stayed here last night as we were in Abergavenny for a friend's wedding and also planned to visit the food festival. Maxine, the owner, greeted us and her friendly and warm welcome was felt throughout our whole stay. While waiting in the lounge, Maxine brought us tea, coffee and welsh cakes (much appreciated). We had the... More

Stayed just 1 night as we were biking the following day and only arrived 7pm ish the night before. The B&H was ok for out purpose of a crash pad and was nice and clean.
