Had a lovely overnight stay at Howgill after a 10 year gap since our last visit! The family room was clean, comfy and well equipped including wine glasses! Sitting outside last night counting rabbits and then stargazing was a welcome escape from city life. We will be back!

we took our tent here this week, had some glorious weather and some rubbish - but through it all we always had stunning views and only a short walk to the loo!!! the site has well placed toilet/shower blocks (3) for campers and caravaners alike, fridge and freezer to use and laundry facilities. showers on the tent areas are fab,... We went back for our second visit this year (this time with the in-laws) and its just a stunning place to stay. The tranquillity and views are breathtaking...when the lights go out its pitch black and oh so peaceful. You can walk to Bolton Abbey and the nearest pubs are in Appletreewick a mile or so away. I will definitely... More

This is about the seventh or eigth visit over the last couple of years for us and we enjoy it each time (even though we have only been lucky once with the weather!!). It is a lovely site... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and 2 dogs in a tent (I believe you can also caravan or stay in a lodge). This was my first camping trip and I was not disappointed, my partner is a more experienced camper and he rates the site too. The place has a great website with lots of useful... More

I discovered Howgill Lodge a few years ago when searching for a campsite in the Dales on google. The pictures on the website looked amazing, and it's even more beautiful when you get there. One of the loveliest, most peaceful spots in the UK, while also very close to nice places for outings (inc Grassington, Bolton Abbey, Skipton Castle, Embsay... More
