I have stayed at the George now on three occasions. The accomadation was excellent and the service friendly making the stay a pleasure. The food was also very good Bob Burns

A great place recently stopped due to working in the area. Staff were really helpful, the room was spot on clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Food was really nice in the George & some good reals ales to! Next time I’m working in the area will be stopping here again.

A great family-run enterprise, really helpful and obliging throughout our stay, making us feel thoroughly welcome. Superficially a good looking stone built property but badly let down by very thin plaster board partitions between rooms. Conversations are easily overheard from rooms to side and below, and the floor above creaked very noisily. You will know when your neighbours are using the loo or shower. friendly people,lovely room plenty big enough for our family of 6. Would stay again and for longer. However down side is that people below us were having a get together after the pub which carried on until 3am. You could hear every conversation and they were very loud. My husband and I spent a weekend here, in August and we had a wonderful time. The room was amazing: big, airy and spotlessly clean. The furntiture beautiful and the beds very comfy.....
