Really lovely setting, right on the river, perfect to sit outside on a summers day. Food was brilliant, the best cheescake ive had! Cheese board also very nice and local produce too. Wasnt as nice the second time round though. Downsides are that the bar can get very busy full of men watching football in the midde of the room,... More

Have visited a number of times now with family. Tend to come for Sunday lunch, all home made/cooked and you can really taste the difference. Regular menu has plenty of choice and again all home made. Have visited for special occasions and each time they have been very accommodating, with decorating our table etc and little touches on mothers day.... More

Had a meal a couple of weekends ago. The decor was somewhat improved since our last visit. Food was OK, free bread (just as well it was free as it was bland and tasteless). The person we assumed to be the manageress was abrupt and rude and lacked customer service skills, I think this was down to the pressure she... More

Couldn't find you in just restaurants so had to write on the hotel review. I had to complete the ratings on the hotel or I couldn't post the restaurant review so I didn't mark down as didn't think it was fair having not experienced staying here. Enjoyed a meal here with 3 friends. The renovation is really great, modern yet... More

We called in on friday evening to try this newly renovated place out, looks wonderful!! the staff were very attentive and it had a good atmosphere, we were given complimentary bread rolls and a large bottle of water, which later we regretted eating as it filled us up before the meal came out, the food was served quite quickly......we expected... This place has been recently refurbished - we didn't even recognise the inside! It has been brought to life with modern, clean and tasteful decor. Much more welcoming! ( we had been once or twice in the past but were not too impressed) The staff were polite and the overall service was excellent. The meal itself was absolutely mouthwatering, both... More

Friendly staff does not make up for tiny room, squeaky bed on any movement, tired decor in severe need of renovation. Shower resembled a porta-loo! Breakfast average. We travelled in 2010, and most of the other reviews on this site still ring true (ie. nothing has changed). Pub up the hill (Salutation hotel???) served best meal all weekend! See if... More

I stumbled across the Cothi Bridge hotel by accident, starting my return trip from West Wales. The staff were welcoming and friendly which was encouraging. Luckily, there was a twin bedded room available for the night. Although it was clean, the decor left much to be desired. Some "cosmetic" work had at some time been undertaken in the room, but... Received by a man in a Bermuda shirt whose attitude bordered on the surly. Furnishings in the room were tired and the bathroom had lots of mould on the tile grout. The shower cabinet, although newish, was a nasty, small, cheap and plastic. Only two tea bags and two coffee sachets were provided in the room and there was no... More
