Excellent stay over Easter weekend. Mel made us tea and cakes on arrival, the room was very attractive and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and Mel was flexible enough to accommodate us even though we were fairly late down for breakfast. I would happily stay here again if visiting this area. The only criticism I would make is that the plumbing... More

Friendliest and coziest B&B ever. Fantastic breakfast. Very homely and caring hosts. Good location...might be a bit tricky to find (if its really dark without a GPS). I was 36 weeks pregnant, and felt very very comfortable. Cannot fault this B&B for anything. Want to come back to Snowdonia just to stay a couple of days here :) More

What a fantastic place! We were treated like one of the family. Lovely cottage, very comfy bed. Tea and cake when we arrived, which we had in the beautifull garden. Then all you could eat for breakfast! What more could you ask for. Highly recommend! More

To put it simply, you just can not fault Cysgod y Coed if you need to stay anywhere in this area. We stayed in the self catering cottage for 2 nights and was very warmly greeted by Mel upon our arrival. Mel is an excellent host and obviously an excellent artist too with some of her work displayed in the... More

We booked our stay last minute and for one night only. Having seen the photos on the website, we thought we were booking a large, open plan room with a double bed and lounge area. What you actually get is a three room completely self contained and utterly charming little holiday home. The front doors leads into a reception vestibule... More

We stayed at Cysgod y Coed on 06/08/11 as we were attending a friends wedding in Corwen. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel very at home. Our room was immaculately clean and well presented and all infomation about nearby activities, walks and amenities were all to hand. The breakfast was beautiful,... More
