We booked in here for valentines day, we got number from the website and all seemed ok, looked at the menu on the site. When we arrived they had beautiful roses on the tables, nicely candle lit, but we were given a set menu, I am not a fan of sea food but unfortunately this was a far majority of... More

Exceptionally good and honest service from the barman, who seemed to be performing every job - except cook the food. Quality of food and cooking was good, with the barman enthusiastically telling us that the beef was locally sourced, from a farm just up the road. Opted for the bread and butter pudding - the barman made us laugh, as... More

We booked for lunch with friends at The Lovers Knot restaurant. There is an extensive menu and carvery on a Sunday so something for everyone here. The food was OK but nothing special, the beef on the carvery was a little overdone but there was a good choice of vegetables all well cooked. They need to sort out the dishwasher... More

Arrived to a warm welcome. Booked in and enjoyed a carvery which my husband and I could not fault. However there was limited choice for breakfast, but the full English was good. There were also a lot of choices with the evening meals, which were good portions. The room was spacious and clean, although the shower cubicle, did require some... More

The staff were very welcoming and attentive, the food was really good and we felt very relaxed and rested- just what the doctor ordered!! We would definitely recommend this pub to our friends for a little retreat.

I stayed on Friday and Saturday night and ate in the restaurant both nights. The food was excellent and the room comfortable. The staff were helpful and cheerful, nothing was too much trouble. We were given good advice on where to visit in the area. The staff had good local knowledge. We would stay at the True Lovers Knot agin.

We ate in the restaurant and wished we hadn't. Extremely slow service even to take our order. When the baked camenbert arrived twenty mins later as a starter I had contemplated eating my arm. Two bar staff on, one who appeared more interested in speaking with customers and the other who left a lot to be desired in customer service.... More

I stayed here on Friday and Saturday night. Sleep wise it was not a good experience. On the Friday night there was the constant hum of fridges or freezers, with another kicking in every fifteen minutes or so. On the Saturday night I was woken at 12.15 am by the sound of 'clubbing' type bass music pounding through the floorboards,... More
