We went here for our wedding anniversary and babymoon. For the premium prices you pay to stay here you get nothing more than a usual hotel room. The rooms looked run down and in need of a revamp. To top it off there were workman working right outside our door while we were staying there which made it feel less... More

It's often the small things that define the difference between a good hotel and a great hotel. The big things about the Shoal Bay resort are good; the location, the rooms, the views (if you pay enough), and the spa are all fine but it failed on too many small things. These included....having to wait 20 minutes to check in... More

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Shoal Bay Resort and Spa over Easter for our honeymoon. Even though we enjoyed the location as there was lots to do around the area there were a couple of problems with the Shoal Bay Resort. We paid a fortune to stay here at $390 a night, with no breakfast included,... More

Please dont go there. It is advertised 4* but it is not considering i have been to resorts that are 4 and 5 stars. I went to book the spa...surprise surprise...it was all book ...and the staff did not seem to care. The breakfast is a typical breakfast. I stayed here for 2 nights during the easter break , and i really couldnt fault this place. We checked in around 9pm and this was very easy as there is 24 hour reception. The rooms are very large and clean , and have everything that you need for that beach get away. we paid $150 per night . it... More

Shoal Bay is a really tidy, well looked after and well situated resort style hotel with good amenities and helpful staff but it could be better for the price. Although the room was of a good size, the lounge area was sparse and offered little to hint that this was a premium room. The lack of Wi-Fi in the room... More

I stayed at the Shoal Bay Resort and Spa with 3 girlfriends for two nights. The four of us stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The Pros: 1. Good value for money. Our stay worked out to be $200.00 per person for the two nights which included a buffet breakfast each morning, as well as use of the spa facilities.... More

Stayed in the heritage suite. Room was fantastic, very comfortable king bed and very clean. Room had a balcony with beautiful views of Shoal bay. Check in was very quick. Good selection at breakfast but hot food was average. Had dinner at the Catch restaurant which was delicious with perfect service. More

Recently stayed here, payed approximately $315 a night, stayed in barrington. No-one to greet us on arrival, mis-information about the breakfast buffet closing time, so missed out. If you expect a double bed, think again. You will enjoy 2 single beds pushed together, disguised as a double. The crack down the middle of the bed is oh so lovely. Don't... More
