“Very disappointed”

We decided to saty here because it was close to the function we were attending. First impressions were "ok" but by check out time we were very disappointed. It is noisy, old and worn out and needs a good clean. If you can, find somewhere else to stay! More

We stayed 4 nights in a studio unit. There were some positives: it was handy to shops, to motorway access and to the family we came to visit, and had plenty of parking. Cleaning and servicing were adequate. The rest of our experience was depressingly negative.

Almost all fittings in the unit were damaged or broken - switches, light fittings, kitchenware, door knobs and window latches. The unit had only the barest of facilities - 1 thin pillow each, only 1 comfortable chair, poor TV reception, bad radio sound, no broadband, wifi not working, and a single bed light for 3 beds. Supplies such as soap, shampoo and tissues were minimal. Added to that the unit was dark and sunless, and had drab, poorly maintained decor. In short, it felt like a prison.

Come on, Auckland! You need better than this for the World Cup. More
