Overall it was pretty good. Definatly not a 5 star hotel, but don't believe they claim to be. I looked up previous comments before booking and was nervous, but didn't have any issues. Was down from the gold coast for a wedding and found the hotel to be very accomodating for our needs. Even though we live on the beach... More

Until this trip I had not stayed in the Northern Beaches area of Sydney. I had an appointment early the following morning so I opted to find a reasonable hotel in the area. The Sands only has a Suite left and I thought what the heck, at least I will get a really great experience. The Suite was large, but... More

Recently stayed and was disappointed. Had an engagement up the road and thought I would stay close. Should had taken taxi back to Sydney CBD. Service ordinary and noise levels from band unacceptable. Band finished late on the Saturday night. More

We read the reviews and thought we would give it a go even though some of the reviews were bad. We had a wedding to attend up the road and thought, why not. Well we were very disappointed for what we got for the $285 that we paid. Basic room with a sea view. We were there on a Saturday... More

We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday The room was tidy and clean, reception staff were really friendly and helpfull i would recomend paying the extra for a seaview room though, very handy location close to a coffee shop and grocery and petrol station, a walk across the street and you are at the beach. Its not a huge hotel... More

we booked for 2 nights after moving house. Ocean view room very nice. We did extend and were told the last night would have to be in a non ocean view room would be the same except for the ocean view. Was I thought slightly smaller and I would recommend when staying at this hotel pay for an ocean view... More

We had a wedding around the corner so thought we'd stay the night. So many issues, where to start - bad service, if you're hungry bring food as you may starve, staff have no idea and limited room service. Too expensive, paying full rate and looking at a construction site and stinks of smoke. we checked out after we were... More

Stayed for 2 nights - Fri/Sat nights - bands downstairs kept us awake. Initial booking was mixed up and no-one at reception when we arrived. Girls at front desk were very helpful when they were there - seemed busy away doing other things. However, Room Service was excellent and the food from the bistro really nice. More

Stayed here for 6 nights and found the location great, managed to walk on the beach every morning, take a bus to the mall, around 20 minutes, walk 10 minutes to small shopping centre etc. Restaurant did great night meals, and very very basic breakfasts. Rooms were very nice, modern, clean and a decent size, however the beds are rock... More
