Our arrival at Le Grande Corbiere highlighted our first problem. The driveway from the road (about two hundred metres long) was in poor condition being rutted with many large loose stones. We stayed at Le Grande Corbiere on our way to our house in Charente Maritime from the UK. We had a nice (if compact) twin room with a separate bathroom down three huge steps! My husband and son stayed in the La Grande Corbiere last week and we had a lovely time! The place in the middle of the forest therefore is very quiet and great to relax.
