My wife and I spent the last couple of night's staying at the Mariner's Cottage. Both the cottage and Christina are gems - she could not have been more welcoming, despite telling us off for being early ! :) Really comfy room, all you could hope for for breakfast, and the Cove Inn a 3 minute walk for supper and... We spent 2 nights at Mariners cottage at the end of October and had a wonderful time. Christina is very welcoming and our room was lovely. Our dog got on well with Christina's 2 retrievers and she kindly dog sat 1 night so that we could eat in the restaurant at the Cove Inn a moments walk away. The position... More

We stayed for only one night at the first weekend in September, but I would have spent the whole week there. I loved the cottage and Christina was so welcoming with the dogs. I had a really good sleep and the atmosphere was so freindly. I loved everything. So good to remember it.

Mariners Cottage is very well situated for anyone visiting WPNSA or Chesil Beach. The cottage is clean, comfortable and attractive. Breakfasts were delicious. I stayed for four nights, and felt very welcome. The Cove House Inn is a short walk away overlooking the beach, and was a source of well-kept beer, tasty seafood and glorious sunsets. If you wish to... More

Our son had another sailing event at Weymouth and having stayed in some pretty average places we decided to have another look online. We found Mariners Cottage. Not only was it walking distance from WPNSA but dogs were allowed. We arrived on one of the wettest days of the year so far with a very wet sailor and an even... More

Christina made us feel very welcome both on arrival and during our stay. The cottage was well situated, close to Chesil beach. My wife and I loved the room, the bed was very comfortable, both the en-suite and facilities available made our stay enjoyable. I have to say that the breakfasts Christina produced were superb and gave us both a... More

This is truly a rare gem. Christina's enthusiasm and energy are displayed through so many wonderfully pleasant surprises. Particularly memorable were the fresh croissants and the antique gramophone calling guests to breakfast. Being long distance walkers we found the location particularly convenient for exploring the island. Australia is a long way from Portland but we'll be back one day, and... More

I found this gem of a b and b after searching on-line. My husband and I had to stay for business and decided to stay on a few days. Was a little apprehensive as there were no reviews but we needn't have worried. This is by FAR the best place to stay on the island: ignore the clinical and so... More

The other reviews have said it all, so little to add. We generally prefer to stay in B and B accommodation, and have done so for many years. We couldn't fault this one. Everything is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was superb. Christina is a lovely, sociable lady without being at all intrusive and we would have no hesitation in... More
