True it's basic but very very clean, helpful staff and good size room. Close to the heart of Canberra and easy to find, at $95.00 a night it seems to be the cheapest in the city We would stay here again

We booked ahead without inspecting, lured in by the low rate, and that was a huge mistake. The carpet was heavily stained, bedding was stained and felt unclean and the bathroom had plenty of evidence of past guests (hair, old paper towels sticking to the ceiling etc). Room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom as a bit small but adequate for one person at a time. Might take a while in the morning if your thinking of filing a six bed room. We had a few flies in our room when we arrived but a bit of raid soon sorted them out.
