This hotel looks like the Rainforest Cafe. The grounds are immaculate and there are exotic plants everywhere. The hard wood floor fells great ok my bare feet. Great shops and cafes right across the hotel. I haven't seen the other hotels here, and quite frankly there is no point looking elsewhere.

Don't be put off by the exterior. Once you get past the restaurant and reception area it gets better. The pool is huge and refreshing after a long, hot day. We stayed at El Bambu for only one night after visiting Braulio Carrillo National Park. It's a nice hotel with the rooms tucked back in the forest. The restaurant at the hotel was decent, but not great. The rooms were clean with good a/c and nice beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
