We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit with our kids. The unit was basic but clean and well equipped (extra blankets, fan etc). Quiet - we could hear moreporks at night. Warm. Looked very utilitarian from the outside but fine inside (decent curtains). Be Warned tho .. no cell phone coverage in Haast and stock up on provisions before going.

Aspiring Court Motel was our stop over point between Hokitika and Queenstown. The room was very roomy and the bed comfy. The price was reasonable compared with other places we stayed during our 2 week holiday. Even though the weather was quite cool, we found the room became quite stuffy during the night, as like most accommodation we came across... More

We stopped there on our way from Milford to the West Coast. Extremely functional, clean, decent and tidy with large rooms and anything you can dream of to cook your own food - clearly a bargain for the price. Nothing outstanding nor fency nor fantastic but just the kind of room / bed you're definitely delighted to crash in between... More

The room was very clean and tidy. it was a hot night and it was very stuffy ,didnt like the shower. The laundry was good but the motelier was not that happy to part with any pegs to hang the washing out as they get taken, I had offered to buy them. A smile would have been nice.

In this particular instance the use of the word 'please' would have achieved a better result for both parties..and a smile. We regularly and happily loan pegs to our guests when asked nicely. Thanks for your positive review regardless. More

We stayed one night as a stop over. The room was clean and spacious with basic amenities. Was handy to have a reliable internet connection during the bad weather to check weather updates and road conditions. Friendly staff.

A stop over place we found by chance.Haast is a beautiful small township but there isn’t much to do here. There are limited motels and places to eat here. My partner and I stayed here one night as a stop over on route to Greymouth. The studio was reasonably priced, spacious and clean. It had all the essential necessities needed... More

The location of this motel is perfect and was easy to find. It's located next to a large supermarket and only a very short walking distance from shops and restaurants, as well as having beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. The owners were also very friendly and... More

Haast does not have a lot of places to stay and this motel does not appear after a seach of Haaast on trip advisor. However it is a very nice place to stay. The receptionist was helpful and welcoming and the room was large, clean and well equiped. The bed was comfortable and the shower good.I would recommend this as... More

We stayed overnight enroute to Franz Josef and this was perfect for us. It was easy to find, clean, quiet, comfortable. We were allocated a unit big enough for a family of four so there was plenty of room for us. The rooms have a nice garden outlook compared to some motels that front a main road. Whilst the unit...
