I have used the hotel before on trips to Geissen. The staff are friendly. The single rooms are small but immaculately clean with new bathrooms. The buffet breakfast is excellent with lots of fresh friuit and meats. Very centrally located in Geissen 1 minue from the station. No bar in the evening but a well-stocked fridge in reception.

The Parkhotel Friedrichstrasse Giessen is a proof of lacking competition in hotel business in Giessen. It seems that there is not much demand for hospitality.
A small single room with a single bed and a TV of small size are the only features. The bathroom was integrated later, when the room was upgraded to an “ensuite” one. Unfortunately it’s also...

Friendly and helpful staff. Free wireless broadband (although connection kept dropping out from my room on 2nd floor). Very nice breakfast. Room perfectly adequate and clean, but nothing fancy. Only slight downside was the slightly damp bathroom, and noise from the restaurant / bar opposite.
