We stayed here, and the sister hotel 'Mainperle' and it was lovely. For the price we paid, the standard of room and breakfast was excellent. The layout is a bit odd in places, like when you go to breakfast it's easy to take a wrong turn (with an Aschaffenburg hangover!!). The 'Konditorei' is mediocre, the hotel shows wear & tear. We stayed in #26, very spacious and with a good bed. The shower space was sufficient, though small within the bathroom as a whole. Internet access through WiFi was offered and I paid for it when booking. Yet nobody, not even the owner could tell me what username and password... More

After a flight from the USA into Frankfurt am Main, we spent our first night in Germany at the Hotel Cafe Fischer. The hotel was only a few blocks from both the train station and the Johannisburg Schloss. The Altstadt is easy walking distance from the hotel. The rooms were fairly large.
