I chose this town to stay in on a trip between Rothenberg ob der Taube and Stuttgart. We like to stay in local places and experience the real people of a country. Were we glad we did. We couldn't locate the hotel by the seat of our pants, so we parked and walked to the Aldt Stadt (the old city).... More

Goldener Adler (Golden Eagle) is right smack on the market platz in City Center. It is adjacent to the St. Michael's Church and you can do your morning exercises by climbing the 59 steps from the market platz to the door of the church. My wife, in-laws and I stayed at this hotel in downtown Schwabisch Hall, Germany for 4 nights during Christmas in 2009. It is an old hotel located by St. Micheal's Church on the old square in Schwabisch Hall and was built in 1586. Parking was free if you were staying at the hotel.
