Had a business dinner here with a group and the food and wine was probably the best I have had in Basel and the surrounding area. Service was attentive and helpful. The restaurant was reasonably full with an older clientele of friends meeting up etc. Thoroughly recommend it and worth a taxi trip out of Basel!

Rude and inflexible customer service. Charged for internet, but only valid for one device. When a code for a second device was requested, receptionist demanded to know why a second device was needed, telling me that i could work perfectly well with one device. I have a computer, iPad and iPhone but of course this is none of her business.... More

We stayed a night here with 2 adults and 2 children in 2 double rooms. We arrived late without a reservation, but got a friendly welcome from the busy restaurant staff. At first we got offered a 120 euro room, but we choose the cheaper, 80 euro room. The STAFF at Hotel-Restaurant Adler are terrific. They used their limited English skills to assist with our early arrival & because we had a very early departure made arrangements for us to receive a breakfast "to go" bag in the morning. I had made a reservation for this hotel then had to cancel. I was very dissapointed to find my credit card charged.
